Star Wars - The Old Republic vorerst nicht für Konsolen erscheinen wird. Schließt Erick Adams im offiziellen SWTOR-Forum nun auch eine Mac- sowie Linux-Version aus. Er betont das
Star Wars: The Old Republic momentan ausschließlich für PC-Systeme mit dem Windows-Betriebssystem entwickelt wird. Eine spätere Konvertierung möchte er aber nicht grundsätzlich ausschließen.
"Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is currently being developed for the personal computer (PC) using the Microsoft® Windows® operating system. While we recognize that there are other operating systems and platforms available for games today, our development is specific to the personal computer using the Windows operating system at this time.
For the purposes of providing the most stable testing environment possible, we are limiting our testing participants to those using the Windows operating system on a personal computer. At some point we may be evaluating compatibility with the Macintosh (and possibly Linux boxes) running Windows and we may put out an additional call for testers at that time."
